A Character and Leadership Development Program
The Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC) is a program given to high school students to teach them leadership, value of education, student achievement, diversity and becoming a better citizen while working on the cadets self esteem, professional skills and learn about their true colors. We focus on JROTC mission statement, " To motivate young people to become better citizens". JROTC disciplined environment produces a successful student and a great citizen. With school's support, JROTC has many great outcomes with students, drop out percentages are lower and GPA , graduation and attendance are improved. JROTC is not here to recruit any student off into the military. If a military future is wanted from the student, we are here to help them achieve their goal and even if military is not wanted.
CAMPBELL'S SPARTAN BATTALION HISTORY!
A General Order NO.31 from Headquarters Department of the Amy was given on 25 July 1972. Effective on 1 July 1972 that HS JUNIOR ROTC units are established at Campbell High School, Smyrna Georgia.
JROTC at Campbell High School was first establish on 1 July 1972 at 3295 South Atlanta Street, Smyrna Georgia, where Campbell Middle School is located now. In July 1989, Wills High School and Campbell High school were merged together and closed Wills High School. Together the school was called, " Smyrna High School." At this time the colors of Royal Blue and Silver, and the Spartan as the mascot were adopted. In 1990 the courts overruled the name change of the school due to restricts of the family that owned the land, The Campbell family. This is when Smyrna High School was changed to Campbell High School and stayed with the name. In 1997, the school was relocated to the original site of Wills High School because of the rapid growth. Campbell High School JROTC got the battalion name from our mascot , Spartan. Spartan Battalion!!

Teacher of the Year!!
One of our cadre, First Sergeant Burns was awarded with Teacher Of The Year! She really deserved the award for all she has done for Campbell and especially JROTC. Congrats First Sergeant Burns! We love you!
